DAIRY
INDUSTRY
Although there has been a rapid decline
in the Dairy industry in Western Sydney over the last twenty years, six percent
of the state's total is still produced in the district. Hawkesbury & Camden
areas are the main producers with about 18,000 dairy cattle on about fifty
farms. The industry is worth $25 million per annum.
