What is in Holroyd's Local Studies Collection?

The Holroyd City Council Local Studies collection is a special collection located at the Merrylands Central Library with smaller collections at Wentworthville and Greystanes Branch Libraries.

It is a collection of material relating to the historic, geographic, economic and social development of the Holroyd Local Government Area. There is also a Family History collection, relating to records of individuals and guides to researching, preserving and recording family histories.

How can you help improve the Holroyd Local Studies Collection?

You can help by sending Holroyd City Council Library Service copies of material relating to the Holroyd Local Government area to be included in the Local Studies Collection.

The Library is particularly interested in printed material (publications, newsletters, maps, posters, fliers and pamphlets) or photographs.

The Library Service does not need to keep the original document or photograph, the original can be copied for our collection and returned to you.

For more information, please contact the Library Service's Local Studies Librarian.
